Eresus kollari Rossi, 1846
Beschreibung
Konduktor distal kurz und stumpf, mit flacher distaler Einkerbung. Vulva anterior breit, Einführgänge stark gelappt. Körper springspinnenähnlich, Männchen kontrastreich gefärbt. Prosoma schwarz, Weibchen: schwarz, Kopfregion meist mit gelben Haaren besetzt. Männchen: schwarz. Beine kurz und kräftig. Weibchen: schwarz mit bläulich-hellgrauen Haaren besetzt. Männchen: schwarz oder rötlich, weiß geringelt, III und IV mit roten Haaren besetzt. Opisthosoma Weibchen: erscheint durch glänzende Haare samtig schwarz. Männchen: dorsal leuchtend rot mit 2 Paar grossen und einem Paar kleinen, schwarzen Flecken (oft weiß gerandet), lateral und ventral schwarz.

Zusätzliche Informationen
Leben kolonieweise in Erdröhren bis 10 cm tief (1 cm Durchmesser), darüber ein kleines schirm- oder trichterartiges Gespinst. Weibchen trägt linsenförmigen Kokon (8-10 mm Durchmesser, ca. 65-100 Eier) tagsüber in sonnige Bereiche. Schlüpfende Juvenile bleiben in der weiblichen Röhre und fressen das Weibchen nach dessen Tod auf. An warmen, sandigen Südhängen in windgeschützten Lagen.
Diese Art kann Menschen beißen (Nentwig et al., 2013). Ein Biss in den Finger verursacht Schmerzen, die bis in die Achsel ausstrahlen, begleitet von fieberähnlichen Symptomen und erhöhtem Herzschlag. Nach einer Stunde erfolgte teilweise, nach 2 Stunden vollständige Erholung. Lediglich starke Kopfschmerzen hielten für einen Tag an und die Bissstelle war während einiger Tage sehr empfindlich.
