Description
Male

Resembles E. dentipalpis. With more tubercles and teeth. Palp: lateral tibial apophysis characteristic, closer to dorsal apophysis, outer part straight, inner part pointed.

Body length male: 2.3 mm
Female

Resembles E. dentipalpis. Epigyne: circular depression on both sides, median plate a bit longer than wide.

Distribution comment: All records of E. arctica from Western, Central and Northern Europe (with exception of Svalbard and NE European Russia) are counted as this subspecies (cf. Holm 1956, Tanasevitch 2013b)
