Mecynargus monticola (Holm, 1943)
Description
Male
Prosoma grey-brown, with narrow median mark, 6 radial stripes and narrow lateral margin. Clypeus with marginal mark. Eye field black. Legs brown, femora yellow-brown. Opisthosoma grey-black. Palp: Tibia apophysis strongly notched at outer edge. Paracymbium broad C-shaped. End part of tegular apophysis with median tooth. Embolus short, screw-shaped.
Prosoma length: 0.8 mm, prosoma width: 0.7 mm.
Body length male: 1.7 mmFemale
Colour almost as in male. Prosoma a bit darker, with broad, median saddle-shaped mark which is connected with the dark eye field by 3 stripes. Epigyne: Much wider than long, strongly domed, posterior with long, oval atrium which is divided by a median septum and ends anteriorly into two copulatory pockets.
Prosoma length: 0.7 mm, prosoma width: 0.5 mm.
