Male palp with large spermal porus. Bulbus ventrally with protuberance. Embolus with 2 projections on tip. Epigyne not sclerotised. Prosoma yellow-brown, dark, surface granulated. Tibia I-II with 4 pairs. Metatarsus I-II and patella I-II with 2 pairs of robust spines. Opisthosoma yellow to brown, provided with long hairs, dorsal scuticula brown.
Body length male: 2 mmProbably occasionally mixed up with I. peltifer (Saaristo 2020: 120).
Imported from tropical areas 100 years ago and now established in greenhouses. This species of SE-Asian origin is not native to Europe (alien species). It had been introduced to Europe at least once and did establish.
