Zodarion modestum (Simon, 1870)

Description
Male

Pedipalp: tibial apophysis gradually narrowing, terminally pointed, with baso-lateral tooth. Prosoma length: 1.16-1.42 mm. Prosoma reddish brown, marbled with dark brown. Legs: coxae yellowish brown, partly darkened, especially coxa I. femora brown to dark brown, often with longitudinal streaks, tibiae to tarsi yellowish brown. Opisthosoma dark sepia, postero-dorsal spot and venter greyish white.

Body length male: 2.1-2.9 mm
Female

Epigyne with trapezium-shaped median plate, without pits. Colouration as in males. Prosoma length: 1.20-1.42 mm.

Body length female: 2.9-3.6 mm
Additional information

Found in Quercus suber forest and grassland.
