Hasarius adansoni  (Audouin, 1826)

Description
Male

Male palpal tibia as long as cymbium. Males are almost black in colour, but with white striped pedipalps, a white U-shaped line on the prosoma (open to the front) and one on the opisthosoma (open to the back) they look very conspicuous. The eye area has a rust-red underlay and the opisthosoma has a rust-red band in the middle, which can sometimes be very broad and is framed laterally by two or four white spots.strikingly white haired. Opisthosoma posteriorly with 2 round, white spots.

Body length male: 4.0-7.6 mm
Female

The prosoma of the female is reddish brown, sometimes almost brown-black. The eye area is surrounded by almost white or yellowish hairs, which continue over the pedipalps, which are impressively white or yellowish. The opisthosoma is also surrounded by white-yellowish hairs and sometimes appears quite colourful with a white-yellow stripe in the middle and orange stripes next to it. In some animals, however, the opisthosoma is quite uniformly yellow-brown with washed-out rusty-red spots and dots.
