Beschreibung
Männchen
Bulbus 1.5 mm lang. Prosoma 4.6 mm lang. Prosoma mit breiter und flacher Kopfregion. Cheliceren hell- bis dunkelrotbraun, kräftig, vorderer Klauenfurchenrand gerade oder konvex. Femur IV mit 1-4 Stacheln. Tibia IV unten meistens mit einem Stachel.
Körperlänge Männchen: 9-10 mmWeibchen
Vulva vorne eckig, vorderer Fortsatz des Receptaculum seminis erscheint gleichmäßig breit, nach außen gebogen. Prosoma rot-braun, mit feiner Körnung. Augen: HMA etwas größer als HSA, vordere einen Durchmesser entfernt. Beine: Femur IV normalerweise mit 2 dorsalen Stacheln, Tibia III mit 4 bis 9 Stacheln, Tibia IV mit 4 bis 10 Stacheln, Metatarsus III und IV mit zahlreichen Stacheln.

In Wäldern, Sumpfgebieten, Dünen, Gärten. Unter Steinen, Baumstämmen, in Laub, Moos. Zudem in Höhlen, Steinbrüchen, feuchten Kellern.
Diese Art kann Menschen beißen (Vetter & Isbister, 2006). Der Biss kann mäßig starke Schmerzen auslösen, die durchschnittlich 40 Minuten andauern. In einem Drittel der Fälle werden die Schmerzen als stark beschrieben. Auch können moderate lokale Schwellung und Juckreiz auftreten.
