Diplocephalus cristatus (Blackwall, 1833)
Description
Tibial apophysis with transverse, pointed process. Epigyne with inner margins of epigynal plate ± parallel, not touching each other. Epigynal plates anteriorly not distinctly marked off, very variable. Prosoma brown to dark brown, male: both head processes ± equal. Legs brown to red-brown. Opisthosoma grey-black.
Body length male: 1.7-2.2 mmBody length female: 1.7-2.5 mm
Additional information
In open plains, in forest edges and in gardens.
Morph cristatus is widely distributed, morph foraminifer only in southern parts of Europe.
