Stemonyphantes abantensis  Wunderlich, 1978

Description
Male

Prosoma yellow-brown. Prosoma length: 2.0 mm. Sternum suffused with grey. Legs light brown, all femora with two dorsal spines, tibiae with indistinct dark grey annulation, TmI 0.57. Opisthosoma light grey, dorsum with dark grey longitudinal band, venter dark grey, anterior to spinnerets with a light grey transverse band.

Body length male: 4.0-5.0 mm
Female

Colouration as in males. Prosoma length: 2.2 mm. All femora with two dorsal spines.

Body length female: 4.5-6.0 mm
Additional information

1200-1300 m a.s.l.

Genitalia of S. abantensis and S. agnatus are very similar, with only small differences in radix and embolus of the male palpus; differences between the vulvae of the females are more pronounced. Dorsal spination of the femora is given as a good character by Tanasevitch (1990, see above), but material from Georgia exhibits one as well as two spines in one specimen (Otto, pers. comm.).
