Chaerea maritimus Simon, 1885

Description
Male

Pedipalp: cymbium flat, tibial apophysis collar-shaped, embolus semi-circular, long and slender. Prosoma yellow-brown, cephalic part dark brown (yellow-brown in preserved specimens). Prosoma length: 0.8-1.03 mm. Chelicerae dark brown (yellow-brown in preserved specimens), promargin with 3 and retromargin with 2 teeth. Legs yellow-brown. Opisthosoma pale yellow (white in preserved specimens), without pattern, covered with olive-grey pubescence.

Body length male: 2.1-2.3 mm
Female

Epigyne: copulatory openings wide, semi-circular, introductory ducts long, transverse; spermathecae small, almost circular. Colouration as in males. Prosoma length: 1.16 mm.

Body length female: 2.7 mm
