Oxyopes ramosus (Martini & Goeze, 1778)
Description
Male palp with patellar apophysis, half of length of palpal tibia at most. Epigyne with black median part, tapering into a tip anteriorly. Prosoma red-brown with white pattern, eye region black. Legs red-brown. Femur dark. Metatarsus and tibia with annulations. Tarsus dark. Opisthosoma red-brown with white pattern.
Body length male: 6 mmBody length female: 6-10 mm
Additional information
In heathland and similar habitats mostly on heather, walks and jumps in vegetation layer. Cocoon attached to tips of twigs and guarded by female
Frequency: more rare in northern Europe
