Thanatus firmetorum  Muster & Thaler, 2003

Description
Male

Bulbus with small tegular apophysis. Embolus massive, tapering towards tip, with dorsal keel. Prosoma dark brown without median and lateral bands, sometimes with yellowish heart-shaped central spot. Sternum brown. Legs brown. Chelicerae yellow-brown. Opisthosoma grey, dorsally with cardiac mark. Spinnerets yellowish grey.

Body length male: 4.55-5.1 mm
Female

Epigyne broad, central division wider than long. Colouration as in males. Legs brown, sometimes with black spots. Femur dorsally with 2 converging yellow stripes.

Body length female: 6.8-7.5 mm
Additional information

endemic species of the Alps, in scree above timberline, 2000-3000 m a.s.l.
