Prosoma brown with a thin marginal band and radiating thoracic lines, a few white hairs among and behind eyes, where they form three longitudinal rows, typical in shape. Sternumlight brown, typical shape. Opisthosoma with brown lateral bands. Palp: Tibial apophysis short, basal, with two teeth posteriorly. Conductor tip widened and twisted. Prosoma length: 1.4 mm, prosoma width: 1.0 mm.Body length male: 2-2.5 mm
Prosoma light brown, dusky at sides and in radiating lines. Legs yellow, annulate. Venter with broad median dark band, yellow at sides. Sides of dorsum yellowish, reticulated, basal mark followed by a series of chevrons. Epigynum with posterior rims of foveolae, interrupted somewhat as in E. mitis but the outer segment of the rim shorter and the Emblyna form less distinct.Body length female: 2-2.5 mm
After Wunderlich (1975) E. mitis is distributed in the Palaearctic and E. annulipes in the Nearctic region. Thus all European records of annulipes should be counted as mitis.
