Prosoma grey to grey-brown. Opisthosoma grey to grey-brown, dorsally with pronounced, white margined pattern.

Body length male: 6-8 mm
Body length female: 10-19.2 mm

on rocks, brickwork and bridges near flowing water ("bridge spider")
