Neottiura herbigrada  (Simon, 1873)

Description
Male

Palp dark. Femur and patella swollen. Cymbium comparatively small. Prosoma median elevation on posterior margin, anterior median eyes smaller than other eyes. Prosoma 1.2-1.3 mm long. Prosoma and sternum uniform reddish brown. Femur with many dark spots. Male: rugose, ventrally with haired warts. Sternum and legs as in female. Opisthosoma with stridulatory ring forming 2 lobes. Opisthosoma dorsally brown with black and white patches, ventrally as in female.

Body length male: 2.3-3.1 mm
Female

Palp female: annulated. Prosoma light to dark brown, with reticulate pattern. Prosoma 0.8-1 mm long. Sternum light to dark brown. Legs light yellow, with dark patches and stripes. Opisthosoma posteriorly with a small tubercle, dorsally whitish, with 2 lateral series of 3 or 4 black spots and a single median spot posteriorly, ventrally dark, pattern as in N. curvimana.

Body length female: 2-2.7 mm
Additional information

In olive grove, among dry grass or under stones, on chestnut tree or in Eucalyptus forest. Egg sac globular, 2 mm in diameter, white, with about 30 eggs.
