Textrix caudata L. Koch, 1872
Description
Tibial apophysis asymmetrical. Epigyne only slightly sclerotised. Prosoma yellow-brown, with bright longitudinal band, eye region black. Legs yellow-brown, with annulated femora and tibiae. Opisthosoma with broad yellow-brown band, darker laterally, grey-brown and yellow ventrally.
Body length male: 5.9-6 mmBody length female: 5.3-9 mm
Additional information
Widely distributed in Mediterranean area.
The single record from Germany has been reported by von Broen (1995) from a hothouse which closed in 1998. No other records from Germany are known so far (T. Bauer, pers. comm.).
