Psammitis ninnii (Thorell, 1872)
Description
Male
Male palp with flat tegulum with small, blunt ridge. lateral tibial apophysis with almost parallel sides. Embolus with rough surface structure and widened to a small lancet-shaped leaflet. Prosoma brown to dark brown, high-contrastingly patterned, with bright, broad, indented median band, variable. Sides with blackish spots. Sternum brown to sandy brown or beige. Chelicerae longish, brown to light brown, patterned beige, slightly spined frontally and provided with a longer spine. Legs unicoloured and inconspicuous, dorsally slightly darker, without longitudinal stripes. Opisthosoma with broad, white or cream margin, otherwise dark brown or black-brown with lancet- or oak leaf-shaped, cream, beige or brown folium, 5 sigilla.

Epigyne bright, broad-oval with lateral slit-shaped opening, 1-2 short transverse folds. Vulva consisting of 2 sac-like, compact structures. Sternum cream to white, partly darker on margin. Chelicerae longish, brown to light brown, patterned beige, slightly spined frontally and provided with a longer spine (strongly spined in female). Legs with distinct white longitudinal stripes.
