Theonoe minutissima  (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1879)


Palp with very broad and long tibia, that covers one half of bulbus. Palp: cymbium with a long distal process. Prosoma brown, with fine, dark margin. Prosoma 0.4 mm long. Sternum brown, rounded posteriorly, with fine, dark margin. Chelicerae brown. Legs brown. Opisthosoma spheroidal, blackish. Similar to female, but dorsal impressed dots on opisthosoma larger and more visible.

Body length male: 1-1.2 mm

Epigyne marked by 2 small depressions, hardly visible. Palp: claw on tarsus not pectinate. Prosoma 0.4 mm long. Eyes: AME ringed with black, slightly smaller than the rest, lateral eyes contiguous, PME about 2 diameters apart, median ocular quadrangle much wider behind than in front.

Body length female: 1-1.3 mm
Additional information

In very wet moss of bogs, also in block fields, but rarely found because of their small size.
