Vesubia jugorum  (Simon, 1881)

Description

Prosoma dark brown, one black stripe in the range of fovea, one median and lateral stripe. Posterior prosoma region sometimes brighter. Sternum dark brown. Chelicerae dark brown. Legs red-brown, sometimes with dark longitudinal stripes, I and II with robust spines. Metatarsus and tarsus with scopulae. Opisthosoma dorsally grey, median stripe brown, little pronounced, with black margin, laterally yellowish, ventrally rust-brown.

Body length female: 15-18 mm
Additional information

in the range of high alpine block fields, where they build retreat tubes under stones. Endemic species of the Maritime Alps, above 2300 m
