The presence of numerous cuticle thorns on coxa, femur, patella, tibia and metatarsus I, and structure of the bulb (with a long arched tegular process), Chedima has a resemblance to genera Scelidomachus and Scelidocteus. Chedima, however, lacks a uniformly coloured opisthosoma.
