Phylloneta impressa  (L. Koch, 1881)

Description
Male

Conductor large, shovel-shaped. Prosoma 1.1-1.7 mm long. Characters as in female. Epigastric area not bulging.

Body length male: 2.5-5.5 mm
Female

Epigynal groove wider than long. Prosoma reddish yellow, with broad, brown-black margin and median stripe. Prosoma 1.3-1.5 mm long. Colouration and pattern similar to P. sisyphia. Sternum reddish yellow, with dark margin. Chelicerae reddish yellow, promargin without teeth or with one tooth. Legs reddish yellow, annulated with brown, metatarsus III with a trichobothrium. Opisthosoma yellowish or reddish, dorsally with dark brown pattern consisting of spots.

Body length female: 3.5-5.5 mm
Additional information

On shrubs and bushes, in forest edges, meadows and ruderal areas, in the mountains up to nearly 2000 m.
