Eresus moravicus Řezáč, 2008
Description
Male
Bulb: conductor with a strong terminal tooth markedly incurvated toward a round groove. Prosoma 3.5-5.6 mm long. Leg I and II brown with black hairs, femur II and patella II reddish, joints with white hairs, leg III and IV orange, almost all segments covered with red hairs. Opisthosoma red, with 2 (rarely 3) pairs of black spots bordered with white hairs.
Female
Epigyne: anteriorly scarcely divided by a ridge, anterior parts of fissures slightly incurvated to the centre. Vulva: spermatheca markedly lobed. Cephalic part of prosoma covered with dense orange hairs, particularly around the median eyes. Prosoma 5.9-9.9 mm long. Chelicerae with dense orange hairs at their base. Legs brownish. Opisthosoma purplish black.
Additional information
Mainly in rocky steppes, also on sandy soils with grasslands.
