Prosoma female: white, pale green or yellow, sometimes brownish, eye region mostly yellowish. Male: dark brown to black, median stripe and eye region light brown. Legs dark brown to black, male: dark brown to black, annulated with red-brown. Tarsus yellowish. Opisthosoma female: variable, white, pale green or yellow, roundish, laterally sometimes with red stripes. Male: pale brown, dorsally with 2 dark median bands, laterally darker.
Body length male: 3-5 mmcolour change in adult specimens due to adaptation to background by displacement of pigments within a few days. Preferably on blossoms, where they mainly capture flower-visiting insects (bees, wasps, hover flies), very well camouflaged. In dry meadows, in sunny forest edges
