Prosoma uniformly chocolate brown, head part distinctly elevated. Opisthosoma grey-brown with 4-5 dark, transverse spots.
Body length male: 10-15 mmProsoma hairless. Chelicerae with black bristles. Legs: patellae and tibiae usually spineless. Opisthosoma dark brown, dorsum with transverse bands.
Body length female: 15-25 mmFemales compact, males with long legs. In burrows up to 30 cm deep in damp, shadowed localities, burrow closed with thin door attached on one side and camouflaged with various particles
