Psammitis secedens  (L. Koch, 1876)


Male palp without tegular apophyses. Cymbium with S-like bent process. Tibial apophysis bipartite, ventral apophysis slender, elongated and hook-like bent on tip. Retrolateral apophysis short, very broad at base and hardly tapering toward tip. Embolus massive, ending blunt, with small spur pointing toward tegulum. Prosoma brown to dark brown or sand brown, sometimes with striking, bright, fork- or U-shaped pattern, with bright moon-like structures. Sternum sand brown or dark brown to dark beige. Chelicerae median transversely striped with dark brown. Legs uniformly brown to dark brown, dorsally partly with bright or dark longitudinal stripes. Opisthosoma hazelnut brown or dark brown, white on anterior margin.

Body length male: 3.8-6.0 mm

Epigyne only stronger sclerotised on outer sides of epigynal groove, so that the epigynal area consists of 2 separated, C-shaped parts. Prosoma beige, red-brown to olive-brown, sometimes with striking, bright, fork- or U-shaped pattern, with brigh and dark moon-like structures. Chelicerae brown, slightly cream meandered. Opisthosoma hazelnut brown or dark brown, with white margin, folium only vague or missing.
