Alopecosa taeniata  (C. L. Koch, 1835)

Description
Male

Prosoma brownish, broad median band with dense white hairs, margin with white hairs. Sternum brown to reddish brown. Femora dark brown, patellae and tibiae brown. Metatarsi and tarsi yellowish brown. Legs III and IV lighter than I and II. Opisthosoma dorsally brownish, median band light and tapering posteriad, anterior lanceolate marking within median band brown, some darker spot at edges, lateral brown bands with dark spots at inward edges, venter light brown with white pubescence.

Prosoma length: 4.0-5.0 mm, prosoma width: 2.9-3.4 mm.

Body length male: 8.4-8.6 mm
Female

Colour as in male. Epigynal transverse pocket with both apices separated. Anterior part of median septum narrow, posterior part greatly widened. Epigastric furrow with 2 shallow cavities. Ducts between elongate primary receptacles and pear-shaped secondary receptacles winding.

Prosoma length: 3.5-5.1 mm, prosoma width: 2.5-3.8 mm.
