Theridiosoma gemmosum  (L. Koch, 1877)

Description

Male palp approximately as large as prosoma, very complex. Epigyne with shallow groove covered by robust chitinous bulge. Prosoma light brown, with fine net-like pattern, eye region darker. Sternum dark brown, slightly brighter medially. Chelicerae brown. Legs brown, sometimes spotted or annulated with black. Opisthosoma irregularly patterned with black, bright areas strikingly shining pearly. Sternal organ.

Body length male: 1.5-1.6 mm
Body length female: 2-2.3 mm
Additional information

In bog forests, in water bank vegetation, web above water surface of little puddles
