Steatoda castanea  (Clerck, 1757)

Beschreibung

Konduktor lateral mit kleiner Spitze. Epigyne mit 2 nach vorne gerichteten Wülsten am hinterer Rand. Prosoma gelblich-braun, runzelig, mit braunen Radiärstreifen. Sternum gelbbraun, mit dunklerem Rand. Cheliceren braun. Beine gelblich, braun geringelt. Opisthosoma hell oder dunkler braun mit Zeichnung (mitunter verwischt).

Körperlänge Männchen: 5-6.3 mm
Körperlänge Weibchen: 6-7 mm

In Mitteleuropa meist in Gebäuden, seltener an warmen Waldrändern unter Rinde

Seit einigen Jahrzehnten zeigt diese Art Ausbreitungstendenzen innerhalb von Europa. Trotzdem sollte man sie nicht als nicht-einheimisch oder invasiv bezeichnen, da sie einheimisch für Europa ist.
